• Identification: Government-issued ID for yourself and your spouse, and Social Security cards for all dependents.
• Income Documents: All W-2s, 1099s (Interest, Dividends, Retirement, or Independent Contractor income), and documentation of any other income received.
• Previous Returns: A copy of last year’s federal and state tax returns (this is especially helpful for new clients).
• Expense Records: Documentation for potential deductions, such as mortgage interest statements (Form 1098), charitable donation receipts, medical expenses, and business or education-related costs.
• Bank Information: A voided check if you would like to receive your refund via Direct Deposit."
